In the interaction between residents, staff, and volunteers, genuine interest, equality, and &#8216;being there for each other&#8217; are central. We don&#8217;t view residents as &#8216;clients&#8217; with a problem that needs to be &#8216;solved,&#8217; but as autonomous and independent individuals with whom we engage in a dialogue.
